And so it begins...

I'm going to be living in Mexico for awhile. Not sure how long.

From Vancouver to Puerto Vallarta it took about 4 hours. Not bad at all.

From the airport we took a cab to Zona Centro, which is the old town centre. As soon as we'd arrived, a police officer pulled us over and was complaining to the driver - something about providing tour guide services to us. The driver reluctantly paid a bribe and then we were on our way.

The next day we were on a bus in traffic. Our bus driver had to squeeze by a truck. The bus didn't make it unscathed, however. One of the men from the scratched truck jumped into his truck bed and punched the rear view mirror on the bus. It was as good a day as any to see a bloody-fisted and yelling man. We had to take the next bus that came along though.

We hadn't booked any accommodation, but luckily our driver took us to a cool and cheap hotel within walking distance of all the good stuff around the Zona Centro.

I love how many buildings here have an open-closed component to them.

It's so nice and warm here.
