Even more Dia de los Reyes

On Friday we went to a relative's house for a party that went early into the morning.

Here's the rosca de reyes cake:


This one was huge and it had about 10 dolls inside it.


They made me cut it first. Everyone crowds around the cake and gasps, oohs, and ahhs until everyone has had their cut. A certain uncle also told me that I had to buy tamales for everyone because I was a foreigner.

The cake is dry and not that great, but it's so much fun to watch everyone cut the cake. I think Canada and other countries should borrow this tradition!
